KS电容器介绍General Information
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING
In applying a capacitor, please examine compatibility of capacitor with specific operating and applicable
conditions and see to it that the capacitor be used within the rated performance indicated in respective
specifications. When used outside the said rated performance, it is warned hereby, the capacitor may result
in open or short circuits, smoldering and/or burnings. In case the capacitor is applied in such equipment as
to affect lives, it is vital to seek ours pacific advice before use. As to other respects not designated in the
specification and/or catalogue or unclear in any way, please always seek our consultation.
Voltage Derating versus Temperature
When using capacitor at temperature higher than the normally specified maximum temperature, it is necessary to reduce the
rated working voltage as shown in the figures below.
Capacitors for Use in Ac Circuit
Permissible AC Voltage Rating versus DC Rating
● The table specifies DC rated parts permissible AC voltage ratings with a pure sine wave at frequencies of 50Hz/60Hz.
Voltage Derating versus Frequency (sine wave)
● Capacitors shall be used within the limits of permissible voltage. Specific ratings are shown by type in the table for
voltage derating versus frequency.
Voltage Derating versus Frequency (Other Wave forms)
● When applied to non-sine wave forms, the applicable voltage should be below the permissible effective voltage derated
again frequency.
● If DC basses are contained, Vo-p should not exceed the rated voltage.

Permissible Current
● Capacitors should be used in the limited of permissible current rating (Arms) shown in the table for permissible current
versus frequency. If used in excess of permissible values, the capacitor may get deteriorated and damaged by its
self-heating.
Non-Sine Wave
● When in use for non-sine current wave, its effective current should be kept below the permissible current against
frequency and, also, its peak current should be below the capacitor permissible Peak current.
● Charging and discharging under conditions in excess of specifications should be avoided because it may lead to
deterioration of performance capability and even destruction of the capacitor. I application you are recommended to
ascertain current waves, capacitor heat generator, etc, and then consult with KING SHING.
