Digital Signal Processors for Communications, Video Infrastructure, and Audio:As applications evolve, they demand more tailored input/output (IO) connectivity,
computational performance, and on-chip interconnect. The TMS320C6455 (C6455)
fixed-point DSPs meet the demands of communications and video infrastructure
applications with high-performance, high-throughput ports and multiple interface
options to industry-standard buses. TMS320C672x (C672x™) generation floatingpoint
DSPs are powerful low-cost solutions to audio applications. Included on-chip
are multiple audio-oriented peripherals offering seamless connections to audio
devices like data converters and a chip architecture that allows for efficient and concurrent
data movement between on-chip peripherals.
Both DSPs include powerful CPUs with instructions directed at enhancing the performance
of their target applications while maintaining 100% object code compatibility
with their predecessors.
