Avnet公司的MiniZed™开发是基于Xilinx公司的Zynq 7Z007S器件,它是单核ARM® Cortex™-A9处理器系统,最大工作频率667MHz,256KB RAM,逻辑单元(LE)等效于Artix -7 FPGA,23K逻辑元件,1.8Mb区块RAM.而MiniZed™开发板存储了Micron 512 MB DDR3L,Micron 128 Mb Quad SPI NOR闪存,Micron 8GB eMMC,以及用于JTAG和UART的Micro USB连接器,用于大功率模式外接电源的Micro USB以及用于USB从器件连接的USB Type A主连接器。主要用在入门级/低成本Zynq开发环境,采用Wi-Fi和烂牙的无线设计,音频信号处和IoT/云连接。本文介绍了Zynq 7Z007S主要特性,MiniZed™开发板主要特性,框图,电路图,材料清单和PCB设计图。

MiniZed™ is a single-core Zynq 7Z007S development board.With the advent of the latest cost-optimized portfolio fromXilinx, this board targets entry-level Zynq developers witha low-cost prototyping platform.

This compact design features on-board connectivity through USB, Wi-Fi andBluetooth. Peripherals can be plugged into dual Pmod-compatible connectors,the Arduino-compatible shield interface or the USB 2.0 host interface. JTAGcircuitry is incorporated onto the MiniZed base board, so with a single micro-USB cable to your laptop you are already up and running. User LED’s, a buttonand a switch allow for a physical board interface.

Micron memory solutions are presented for QSPI flash, DDR3L memory andon-board eMMC instead of an external SD card. The Murata Type 1DX wirelesssolution incorporates 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 4.1, whichprovides both Bluetooth Classic and Low Energy (BLE)。 The integrated powersupply from Dialog generates all on-board voltages, while an auxiliary supplyinput can be used to power designs that require additional current. From STMicro there is an on-board motion and temperature sensor, as well as a digitalmicrophone.

MiniZed provides for an efficient hardware reference design, while it is alsoan inexpensive board that can be used to run workshops and tutorials. Theboard aims to showcase the power of Zynq, where the Cortex A9 processorcore integrates seamlessly with the programmable fabric to provide signalprocessing and control solutions. The on-board digital microphone serves asan input for a variety of illustrations of how to implement FIR filters, FFT’s anddirect memory access.

The main purposes of the MiniZed Kit are the following:

MiniZed™开发板目标应用:

The Zynq 007S device (in the CLG-225 package) contains:

̶ Processor System (PS): ̶ Single-core ARM® Cortex™-A9

̶ Max frequency 667MHz

̶ 256 KB on-chip RAM

̶ 84 PS I/O pins

̶ USB 2.0 OTG, SDIO x 2, UART x 2, SPI x 2, I2C x 2 etc.

̶ Logic Elements (LE): ̶ Programmable logic architecture equivalent to an Artix -7 FPGA

̶ 23K Logic Cells

̶ 1.8Mb Block RAM (50 x 36Kb blocks)

̶ 54 High Range (1.2V to 3.3V) I/O pins

̶ The 225-pin package is used since this is the lowest cost device in this family

̶ This package restricts the DDR interface to 16 bits

̶ Only one USB master interface is supported

̶ Only 1 of the 2 SDIO controllers in the PS are available directly from the PS,the other through EMIO. The CLG225 does not support booting from SD Card.

̶ One PS UART is routed to the computer via USB, the other is used for communication with the Bluetooth part of the Murata wireless module. For communication with Shield or Pmod peripherals, one of these UARTs can be re-purposed or another UART can be instantiated in the PL.

̶ I/O levels of 3.3V are supported for PMOD and Arduino peripherals.

̶ All MIO pins are 3.3V.
